Aviation Maintenance Technology
Aviation Maintenance Technicians are in high demand. For every one hundred hours that an aircraft is used for hire, it must go through a thorough inspection process. These inspections combined with annual inspections and routine maintenance repairs create a tremendous need for qualified licensed technicians.
The people who inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft, must be licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration. In Spartan’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program, not only will you gain the knowledge and skill required to obtain your FAA airframe and powerplant licenses, you will also gain the confidence required for top performance on the job.
No experience is required! In this program you will learn everything from changing a tire to rebuilding a turbine engine. You will also learn about all types of aircraft from a small single engine airplane to a large transport airplane like those used by the major airlines. If you want to be a licensed professional and enjoy working with your hands, this could be the right career for you!
Avionics Technology
As technology advances so does the need for certified Avionics Technicians. Today’s aircraft are filled with radios, navigation systems, radar, flight computers, and many more sophisticated systems. Due to the nature of these highly sophisticated systems, Spartan’s Avionics Technology program offers an industry current program that will prepare you for the job immediately after graduation.
No experience required! Spartan will take you through an intense electronics core program that can give you the high tech knowledge and skill required to specialize in the Avionics Technology program. This program is also offered in a degree program which includes general education courses, as well as, gyroscopic and mechanical instrument repair and maintenance.
